This Beef Shawarma recipe is the perfect meal for a chilled Friday night or Saturday. When you finish making this meal your family may think you secretly ordered out. But let them know you got it from Mahma.
Full Ingredients:
- Beef Steak
- Salt
- Garlic or Garlic Powder
- Cayenne Pepper
- Paprika
- Butter
- Olive Oil
- Mayonaise
- Plain Yogurt
- Lemon Juice
- Persley or Cilantro
- Cube Maggie or Chicken Bouillon Cubes
- Black Pepper
- Lettuce
- Tomatos
- Pita Bread
- Potatoes or Frozen Fries
Ingredients for Steak:
- Beef Steak
- Salt
- Garlic or Garlic Powder
- Cube Maggie
- Cayenne Pepper
- Paprika

Ingredients for White Sauce:
- Mayonaise
- Plain Yogurt
- Lemon Juice
- Parsley or Cilantro
- Cube Maggie or Beef Bouillon Cubes
- Black Pepper
How to Make it :
- Take your beef steak and slice it into thin strips. Skip this step if you purchased pre-cut beef strips.
- Place your meat in a bowl or plate to season. Drizzle 4 table spoons of olive oil on your meat and begin to massage it in.
- Then add 3 teaspoons of salt, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper, 2 tablespoons of grated or minced garlic, 2 small maggie or beef bouillon cubes
- Set seasoned meat aside and heat your pan to medium heat.
- Add meat to pan with 3/4 stick of butter and stir fry to your preference: Well-done, Medium-well, Medium-rare.
- Once meat is finished its time to make your white sauce.
How to make white sauce:
- In a medium bowl add, 4 tablespoons of plan yogurt, 4 tablespoons mayonaise, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of power or minced garlic, 1 cube maggie or beef bouillon and 1 tablespoon of black pepper.
- On the side rinse and chop your bunch of cilantro or parsley and add to bowl.
- Mix your bowl until everything is smoothed and well blended. (Do adjust your seasoning to your preference)

- Grab tomatoes and slice theme into thin slices. (We normally slice them into long strips, but you can slice them to whichever way you enjoy them best.)
- Take your lettuce and rinse and slice the same (skip this step if you purchased pre-washed and chopped lettuce)
- Now, Grab your pita bread and either toast in oven at 350 (degrees) for 7 minutes or on your stove top.
- Plate your pita bread and slice into two halves, and slightly over lap them on top to each other.
- Then, add a generous amount of your white sauce, then add your lettuce and tomatoes, your meat and more sauce.
